The Tradio is a coin-operated radio that was designed to be used in
hotels, motels, clubs and other business establishments. The
Tradio's cabinet harkens back to a style that was common to radios of
the 1930s, especially the small arched peep hole dial. Later an
updated model of the Tradio was offered with a slide rule dial.
Today the Tradio L-U6 can be considered as one of the more stylish coin
operated radios to have been manufactured. I purchased this set
from an auction house just north east of Noblesville, Indiana in January
of 2004 but it is no longer in my collection.
